Job Posting: Endoscopy RN – Hendrick Medical Center

Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift: 5x8-hour days (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
• Call Requirement: 7 days per 4-week period
• Float Requirement: Yes
• Orientation: 40 hours
  
  

Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 2 years Endoscopy RN experience
• Advanced GI procedure experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Certifications:
• BLS and ACLS required
• License: Active RN license required (Compact or TX)
• Hospital Experience: Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Experience: Level II preferred
  

Unit Overview

• Procedures:
• ERCP, PEG placement, EUS, Spyglass, FNA/FNB, Capsule endoscopy
• Bronchoscopies and EBUS
• Moderate sedation and pain management
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 across all shifts
• Patient Age Groups: Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Number of Rooms: 3
• Special Equipment: Olympus
• Interdisciplinary Support: IV, PT, RT, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, Transportation
  

Vaccine Guidelines

Observed Holidays

• New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
• Holiday coverage: 7:00 PM day before to 7:00 AM day after
